A Revo-12XXX and Syn-DX2.3HP would be an the big-12 power handling range, and would come in a little over your current budget. Or, go with the 12XXX woofer and source a different amp to stay within the current budget. Heck, you could go with 2 mild mono amps, one for each 2 ohm coil.

Excellent idea. I actually had a amp picked out in last system I was looking at that should do good. Then I can upgrade later on if not enough. But main piece is good sub with good box.

Outside of the built materials, the best woofer is one in the right box with quality amp wattage.
