    That was an awesome build thread.

    I purchased the tabs for my boat (time thing), but if you can make them, all the power to you. That's awesome.

    My buddy has been playing around with home-made tabs. 2nd set of hinges now. Be prepared to drill holes in your boat.

    Drilling holes is ok, just make sure they're exactly where you want them. DO NOT use sheet metal screws, they WILL crack your gelcoat, and you'll likely break a few trying to screw them into the fiberglass. Drill and tap for machine screws. More threads = better hold, and no worries of cracking the gelcoat.
