Max Water Test - Recommended Setup
Hey guys,
I am going to surf test a Max this week and have told my dealer I want the following:
1) Stock 3000 lbs
2) 1000 lbs midship in Lead(I want to simulate the stock setup on a 2020)
I was then planning on bringing a 650 lbs floor bag that I will run on the bench seat surf side. Hoping this will list the boat and simulate ~4 adults sitting surf side on the boat.
Any recommendations...I really want to see if it is worth the upgrade in size vs. my Mondo.
Thanks guys!2022 SA450

That would do it. The question is whether the dealer will play along and get the 1000lb of lead in there that you asked for.

Hah, I have been hounding him...so he is bringing 500...and I am bringing another 500 of my own.
He is annoyed with me, but I rode a Supreme ZS232 the other day with 4600 lbs stock...and it is a killer wave. I need to see if the Max is even close...so gotta make sure that it is apples to apples.2022 SA450

Interested in your feedback vs the ZS... I was impressed by that boat.

The boat is 23 feet with a 102" beam...it is DEEP...pretty similar depth to the max in depth. The pricepoint is probably on par with a Mojo...but it is a redesigned boat that is pretty surf specific. Some of the features
1. Centurion Tapered V-Hull
2. 4600 lbs of ballast(5 hard tanks and 2 bags)….about 7 minute fill time as it has 7 pumps.
3. Fit and finish interior is probably not as nice as a Moomba.
I am curious on the wave of a properly weighted Max as the ZS was LONG and even push from front to back....very similar to Wake9's SL that I rode last year!2022 SA450

The new ZS232 is priced like a Mojo? Saw one loaded out going for around $115k at a dealer. I get nobody pays msrp, but can't see it getting down below mid 90s. Unless it is fairly limited in options. Interested in what people are paying real world. PS, the dash is a major turn off to me. But to each their own.

The dash is the only real head scratcher for me. Massive dash with a tiny screen. But performance wise it looks impressive. The videos of the wave on YouTube are amazing.

I agree, just 0 dealer support in my area. That 3' of draft is also a concern for me. Plus the wake for boarding is pretty meh.The dash looks like an afterthought with the tiny screen and decade old rocker switches. But the boat overall looks really nice. Price wise, nothing in the ball park of a Max with about every option checked.

I like the aggressive lines of the supreme, it’s the tower location and interior proportions that seem off.
Supreme and centurion confuse me on where their brand identities cross.
Where does supreme Z fit against the Fi and Vi??
I understand Ri is the luxury model.
