Default 06 Mobius LSV or 07 Mobius LS

I am currently in the process of trying to find the right moomba. We have narrowed it down to a 07 mobius LS or an 06 mobuis LSV. They are the same price out the door. We would end up with the same options on it. I guess our big thing is do we want to pick color and so on with the 07. Is the V drive really worth it. We both ski and wakeboard, but tend to wakeboard more. Down the road is the V drive going to be better with resale? Any comments would help.

get the vdrive, especially if you wakeboard more. You will love the extra space. I personally think it is easier to get a ski wake out of a v drive than get a wakeboard wake from a direct drive. This may open up a can of worms but......this is just in my humble opinion.

LSV for sure. I have a 2006 LSV and love it. Just as the previous post mentions, you can ski and wakeboard on the Vdrive and have a lot more room on the inside. I definitely think the resale will be better, I know I would never own a direct drive but that is my opinion.

I love my DD Outback. I am a hard-core slalom skier, so the V was not even on my radar screen. I have a tower and a full compliment of boards for me and the family, but skiing will always come first for me. Since you stated that wakeboarding was the sport of choice, I would say go for the V. What ever you get, use it!! Nothing is worse than a Moomba sitting around not being used.

    Good luck and have fun,
    Dave

Vote # 4 for the V-Drive. Better wake out the door, much more room for passengers, and storage is out of the way, more room on back pad for free "ballast" (friends).

Direct Drives are for skiers, and since this hull was deigned for wakeboarding, wakesurfing, etc first, might as well put the engine farther back and get the benefits of the engineering.

Like other posts, if I could've swung a V-drive I would have. My Outback DD was in the right place for the right price, tho. I'm sure it'll last me a while. Not too much 'boat envy' over the V.

Get the V-Drive. I love my 05 Mobius LS, but could really use the extra room and we wakeboard much more than we ski.

Get the LSV. I have the 06 LSV and love it. 134 hours last year. If you are going to use it for skiing get the wake plate.

gt: Per our dealer (who apparently has been recognized as the largest Moomba dealer in the states) told us they can't keep V-drives on the lot, especially used V-drives.

    Hope this helps!

    Happy sailing!

    If the trend continues,

twenty bucks says gt goes with the LS.

P.S. I have an 05 LSV and the hard core skier I boat with bought a Supra 21SSV (traded in a 1988 Supra DD - which he loved).
