Default Surf wave for 2007 Moomba Mobius XLV

I have a 2007 Moomba Mobius XLV Gravity games package 23ft. I'm struggling to get a really good wave behind this boat. Both Long and tall. Has anyone had success that i could replicate?

length is always tricky. But my standard setup for regular is:

    Port 1100 rear
    Starboard 1100 rear 60% full
    400 bag under port seats
1180 front bag full under playpen
~250 in a bag under the port bow seat

    Home-made suck gate shaper.
10.0 to 10.5mph on paddlewheel Perfect pass (in river with a current)
Surf platform to get the platform out of the wave.

So I have the ballast that came with the boat. I haven't been able to find weight. I think I have about 700lb bags on each rear side and 1100b bag in the middle. I have a wakeshaper that also came with the boat. Eight.3 Velcro version. I also have 155 lb cube fat sac that I have been putting in the rear on the riders side. The wake is good. I weight 230 and I struggle to stay in the wake. My son wighing 100 stays in pretty easy riding a large board. I just bought a 5'2" happy pill board to see if that will work better. I have rode a 5'9" landlock and that works. I just want higher and longer. It doesn't seem long enough. I'm pretty sure I need more weight everywhere. I've been filling all the bags completely full.

Have you upgraded your bags to get that much in the rear?

The bags that came stock in my XLV rear locker were 400 pounds each. 50x20x10. I changed those out for 1100 rears.

I think I had a 600 in the front that I swapped out for the BIG gravity games bag that's 1180 pounds.

Longer wave is always more weight in the front and possibly more speed. Bigger/taller is more weight in the rear. It's pretty much self evident: There's no replacement for displacement.

Ok. That's what I thought. I have been thinking I needed to upgrade weight. I have found some custom made bags from wake shapers that they will make if I give them the dimensions. When I go with my family, I have 4 kids and my wife. They just don't have enough weight. I'll have to add some up front and replace the rear.

Just get the 1100’s. They fit perfect. No need for custom bags on the XLV.

Where did you get the 1100? Certain brand? Did you integrate them into your current ballast pump system? I measured the space in my compartment.....it didn't seem big enough to get 1100 lb bags in there.

Ok. Just found 50x25x20 bags. Super tight but close. Is that what you got?

Yep. Wakemakers is your place to go. Pull out the rear bags, install the new 1100’s. You will need to order the quick disconnect fitting as well if you cannot unscrew the ones in you bags now.
