    Default Max surf plate settings

Hi, what’s everyone running for surf plate settings? I’m really starting to love my wave, but haven’t messed with surf plates at all. Current setup is all stock full, 1100’s under each side (had them laying around) they fill to about 8-900lbs, 700 lbs bag in the nose, 600 lbs lead throughout. Pitch around 7.5-8, stock roll settings. Around 11mph. Is there a benefit to messing with the plates?

You’ll probably get a ton of different answers but here’s mine. I have stock + 1,000lbs of lead (400 in the bow), and 730lbs each midship bags.

When crew is small, surfing port I run everything full, 11.1 mph, surf plate 45, wakeplate usually 0 but up to 20 depending on conditions. I leave autowake off unless I have a big crew.

Surfing starboard, autowake is always on, standard pitch/ roll, surf plate 65-70, wakeplate zero.

    Both waves are pretty sweet.

I like the plates at 45 for regular and 50-60 for goofy.

How do you guys surf at 11MPH? 10.5 seems like wakeboard speeds on my boat.

Check your speed reading with a GPS app. It may not be calibrated. I like the faster speeds (up to 12mph) as it seems to firm and lengthen the wave.
