Decal experiment....opinions please
I too am not 100% loving it. I need to get it in better light and on the water.
But decals are worth 5 hp and an extra 500# ballast!!

I'm not a fan of these type of decals. I've removed them from our boat. I view it as advertisement and I'm not getting paid by GM for the advertisement space so what's in it for me? Bragging rights? I don't think so.

Can’t argue these critiques
I personally think the Raptor engine Is brag worthy even if it’s marketing.
Free advertising, I guess, but I don’t see too many removing JL audio emblems off their speakers.....lol
Raptor is same as.....
FX one on the tower
Taylor made on windshield
Boatmate on trailer
JL Audio on speakers
PTM on board racks.

I personally like it on your boat. It matches and there is a nice open space for it to not clash with anything.

Yes, but in all your examples, your logos are ON the items in question. If you were continuing on that analogy, you'd simply have "raptor" on the engine cover itself. Not on the side of the hull.
It's be like me putting decals on the side of my M3 (or on the window) that say UUC, Eisenmann, Eiback, Bilstien, Dunlop, Dinan, Momo, Focal, Precision Power, etc...
Would it be appropriate? Sure. But too 'fast-furious' to throw all your vendor decals on the outside of your ride.
Sure, it's done LOTS. And yeah, it's justifiable. Like having livery on a race bike though...2008 Moomba Mobius XLV. Monster Cargo Bimini, WS Rev 410's, Polk Cabins, 3 Infinity Subs, PPI amps, WS420, Exile BT, upgraded ballast pumps, up to 3,500+ pounds of ballast, Blue LED's...
1992 Supra Sunsport. **SOLD** 2k pounds ballast, Surf System, Blue LED's everywhere, decent audio system.

It is a large open space, it’s a black vinyl outline that allows the pacific blue gelcoat be visible.
