I have a 2003 Outback LS with the 310 hp carburated engine. When the engine got hot it started to flood out at idle.Gas was flowing out the overflow tubes from the float bowls down the throat of the carb and flooding it out.Replaced the needle and seats thinking they were wore out, same problem.Installed a fuel pressure gauge and at idle ran about 6psi.At speed stayed at 6 psi. When warm and idleing down the pressure gauge would start to creep up.After about a minute if idleing the gauge would run up to 20 psi!(as high as the gauge went)Verified this several times.Replaced the carted electric fuel pump and everything is good now!
