That said, if I can get it I will take it with the 945.
For your 3 hour session, are you surfing the whole time? Even the 4 gph is pretty good still for surfing.

    Don’t the Malibu/Axis get closer to 7gph?

Yeah, like I said I really don’t keep track all that great. Mostly because I’m hardly filling up. When it’s me and a buddy and straight wakeboarding/surfing it’s probably 4-6 an hour.

I also have 4 under 10 year old kids....so 2 hours out on an evening might involve 1 hour under load at best. So my engine hours involve lots of idling and my numbers are likely highly skewed.

Does anyone have the ACME 2419 or a 15 x 12 prop on a Max that knows the cruising top speed with that prop?

On my SA, at 3900 rpms, it was around 28mph, should be fairly similar on the Max.

no one on this forum is getting a fuel economy number of 2.x if using the boat nonstop. idling, swapping riders and the such sure, but these floating bathtubs are a minimum 5gph and up if you are using them

last outing I had 7 guys on in 6 hrs of nonstop running we used 30gallons and I'm not sporting some of the huge ballast/lead numbers others are.

on props, said it before.. acme 1235 is my go to. good out of the hole weighted down and all 3 boats I have had it on have been mid30's top end but cruising for us is usually 25-27mph. unless the lake is glass mid30's isn't a fun ride.

Thanks. My Max is set up similar to yours so i'm also interested in how it handles the extra weight at surf speed. I rarely go over 30mph and my lake is small enough I dont need speed.
