moomba mobius rudder problem
I bent my rudder on my 2001 mobius v. I am in the process of removing it and have the plate taken apart without any problem. My problem is removing the rudder shaft from the steering linkage clamp. The clamp had 1 cotter pin and a bolt that tightens the clamp. I have removed them and the clamp will slid up and down on the shaft for a distance of about 1/8". I do not understand why it is moving on the shaft, but I can not fully remove it from the rudder shaft. How do you remove it? Is there a web site that has an exploded view of moomba boats and their parts? Thanks for any help that is provided.

I got it off. The shaft had a burr on it. I had to get some sandpaper cloth and sanded it down. I learned a lesson. Do not hit a brass shaft with anything! It will mushroom and cause you problems. Good Day.
