    Default Ballast Sensor Fault

I have a 2019 Craz with autowake and flow 2.0. When I fill up the ballast tanks I periodically get a "ballast sensor fault" error on the screen. Seems to only happen when the tanks are full or near full. This can happen ever few minutes or just once or twice during the day. Its happened every time I've gone out since buying the boat new. I'll try to post a picture of the error next time I have my phone. Here's my SW info in case someone knows anything about this

Does it say which sensor? Port, Starboard, or Bow? Mine had a problem where there was a “fault” with the Starboard side sensor. The screen would pop the message every couple of mins. Had it replaced when we did the 20hr service.

It doesn't say which sensor. Dealer said this is a known issue with the new sensors on the 2019s. They said there is a SW fix available to resolve this. Will find out when I get around to taking her in for service

Just got my '19 Craz back from the dealer. They had seen the same issue on a couple other 2019s. Starting in 2019 most of the Moomba line began using new ballast fill sensors. The computer samples/reads these sensors every 3ms and a momentary glitch or bad sensor reading could lead to the "ballast sensor fault" message on the display. Moomba updated their SW to increase the sample size to 3s so that any momentary glitch in the sensor readings wouldn't trigger a ballast sensor fault message. The dealer water tested the boat for over an hour and never saw the error message. So in the end this turned out to be a SW fix. Should be able to try this out myself over the weekend

I have a 2019 Craz Pro and I'm experiencing the same problem. Sometimes my bags won't fill (bow) and it says it's at 100%. Does the repair shop need to do the software update or can an individual access the update without taking it to the shop. Shops are 6-8 weeks out.

You have to go to the dealer to get SW upgraded. I think you can solve your issue by modifying the fill timers or burping the bags. I did that on my craz and all is well. The easiest thing is to just flip the ballast fill switches off then on again and it will keep filling.
