Max surf set up values
Hello,
I have a 2018 stock Moomba Max and I remember struggling last year to find consistent settings for the best wake. I’ve read the post with all of Matt’s recommendations and I now have a better understanding of the Autowake features, but I know it’s going to take some time playing around to figure things out.
This coming long weekend I’ll have a boat full of guest that will want to try surfing and I won’t have time play around to learn the Autowake.
Can anyone help me with the best manual setting that will give me the best possible wake to get them surfing? I’ll have time later in the summer to fine tune things and play with the Autowake.
Hoping for help with starting settings for:
Ballast Bags %:
Surf Side -Tabs %:
Center -
Non Surf side –
Surf Side -
Smart Plate -
Non Surf Side -
Speed:
Amp %:
Am I missing anything?
Thanks!

I guess I'm just concerned that if it's not working out I won't know where to start. Wanted to avoid having a boat full of people waiting while I "figure it out". I guess I should be more trusting I guess. Is it truly set it and go?

Autowake works best when you have a ton of people in the boat.
You should have the factory settings already set in the computer.
Go with 100% amplitude, i.e. all bags full and then turn on Autowake.
As for plate settings the center tab should be at 0. And then the surfplates between 60-75%. Start with speed around 10mph and play with it up up to 11.2mph.
Autowake will adjust the bags to compensate for where your passengers will sit.

Had my first try surfing last week, used autowake because I'm clueless and it's one of the reasons I bought the boat. Filled all bags, turned on autowake. Only played with Amplitude. Not sure how I would go in to manipulate the plate settings at this point...maybe my question will help the OP...?

Awesome thanks! This gives me a good starting point to get going and I can still use Autowake. I like the idea of starting with full bags to minimize the adjusting that autowake will have to do.
