Default 1996 boomerang runs the carb out of fuel.

Hello, I just bought a 1996 boomerang. The boat runs, starts, and idles perfect. The problem I’m having is when I accelerate to any speed over 25mph and hold it there the boat starts to bog bad after about 10-20 seconds. Then I have to back off the throttle and let the fuel catch up. I’ve taken the top of the carb off cleaned what I can carb looks great. I’ve checked fuel pressure and I have good psi around 8-10 psi. New cap rotar plugs and wires. Blew out fuel lines. Adjust float level 1/16 in. Please help. Very stumped.

Floats are probly bad (not likely but it can happen) in the carb or sticking. If they can’t drop when the level goes down it won’t open the passages to allow more fuel in and you’re using more than you’re supplying. That’s why it’ll idle and accelerate. Good time to rebuild the whole thing most likely.

Do you know off hand if boomerangs came with a fuel water separator tucked away somewhere?
