Nice ride. What ballast are you running and how big is your crew with a 400?

    Subfloor ballast 100%
600 pounds lead and lots of extra gear I can find to help weight it down
Usually 4 adults on the boat.
Max I’ve had is 10 on the boat.

It has no problem doing all that surfing. It’ll do fine getting to wakeboard speeds fully loaded. I usually load it 25-50% when wakeboarding. I’m getting another SL 400 since I believe it’s more than enough motor unless you’re at high altitude.

With your prop, how many RPMs at surf speed?

Thanks for the feedback. What is your spray-date on the new 2019 ride?

Looks like end of June. I was torn between the two options. I would like to keep the '18, but am happy to spend the extra cash to run a '19.

At the end of the day, I would change nothing on my '18 except adding a heater for early/late season mornings and the fender pro (which i would've added on my own if not for the '19). The '19 improves on the map viewing feature. The lake i run is shallow-ish so I'm always flipping between screens to use the map. Not a big deal except when i have less familiar drivers pulling me and not paying attention to the map page. The '18 does it fine, but the '19 does it better. Hopefully the '19 will be trouble free like my '18.
