Tower Speaker
I have just managed to get my hands on 4 tower speakers which i think came off a MasterCraft X-Star.
They are currently empty cases and i have been trying to get some speakers to fit. The average 6" speaker dimension is to small and the next size up is two large.
Am i missing a trick here??
Also, what’s the general opinion on the best brand of marine speakers..?

I am not certain, but I believe those came with 7" JL Audio apeakers if they came off a Mastercraft. I saw the same ones for sale in the Boater's World catalog the other day, or was it West Marine, one of those two anyway.

yes, I believe those use an oversized 6 1/2 component set. Get ready to drop some change to fill those up with speakers. You would probably come out sounding better and cheaper if you just bought a set of Wetsounds Pro 80s.

Yes, what you want is called a 6.5 "S". It is actually 6 3/4".
Stay away from paper cones (for obvious location reasons)
