All depends on how many people are on the boat/coolers/gear. And what the wave is doing. If the wave is really tall but short. Yes you will need more weight up front and vice versa. Best bet get the Enzoís get some lead and play with it see what the boat likes/ what you like. Took us about a season to really dial the wave in

If you can get a hold of some standalone 400 pound ballast bags you can experiment with putting them on the side seats and filling them up to simulate having Enzos in addition to what bags you have now. Then you can see if the wave looks good with just having rear weight or if you need the weight more towards the bow. Itís also nice to have these 400 pound bags with a simple pump that you throw over the side to make adjustments when you have a small crew.

check local dealers as well. the supreme dealer here sells wake ballast brand for $1/pound. $4 cheaper than website when you factor in tax.

Iíve never surfed a Malibu or axis wave but I can tell you I wouldnít trade my boat on either one of them. I am really happy with my wave and having enough push with just two people on the boat makes it that much better for me
