Windshield strap
Have a ‘19 Max. On windy days I can’t leave the center windshield open because the wind is causing it to slam shut, I’m worried the glass may break or hit a passenger.
Has anyone figured out a solution for this? Worst case I could purchase a strap with some snaps and scare them into the fiberglass.
Wondering what others have done to solve. Pictures welcome if you have figured this out.
Thanks

My lake can get pretty windy and have never had that happen. Doesn't sound like abad idea though. z28 has a great brain for these kind of things....my solution would not be nearly as well thought out or good looking

Thanks for the shoutout familyman! I think a strap with snaps would be cleanest, but I’d put them in the windshield frame and have the strap loop over the top.
Something like this would be easiest though, just clamp it at the top:

I like that concept ^ but seems like a possible hazard for getting sliced or hooked on?
What about a velcro patch on each side or a magnet. Glue a very strong magnet under the fiberglass deck and fasten another thin strip or button of some sort on the window frame? If you don't like it or it doesn't perform you haven't drilled any holes...So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

A simple button snap might work. Put one on the center and one on the fixed. Then just make a strap (or even elastic) with the female button snap as long as you need to hold it down.
something like this depending on how the frame looks or get a screw in version.
