    Default Adding bags price

I'm wanting to add the two ballast bags in the rear to my 2006 outback v. They will go in the lockers on both sides of the engines.

    1.) Has anyone done this?
2.) What kind of price is reasonable?
3.) What possible issues could arise that I want to watch out for?

Since we are in the process of winterizing it now it'll be a great time to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

This is very common, this is where the factory Gravity III ballast goes - so no big deal. Is the boat plummed for ballast ? Do you already have the center ballast bag ? If so, then it can be more factory looking if you add to that system - lots of threads about this here - do a search, or someone will reply I'm sure.

If you just want seperate bags and a simple system and want them portable - these are the best:

    Pro-X V-Drive sacs from Flyhigh

Get the Tsunami pump as well, and you are done for $300!

    Enjoy,

Hw much ballast are you wanting to add? I have upgraded my Gravity III to the V-drive sacs which are 400 LBS a piece. I still have the Gravity III bags which are 275 lbs a piece I think. Let me know if you need pics of the V-drive with the fly high setup.

Sorry for the delay in getting back on this. It has been crazy at work.

I currently have the Gravity I system with the center bag. The dealer said that they would plumb it in and replace the dash with a new one to make it a GIII system. I want to add as much ballast as is possible.

They've given me a price of $1900.00 which sounds high to me.

I am not sure of all of the prices. I would see how much they would charge to plumb the hoses and add the electronics, but not actually put the Gravity III bags in the back of the boat. It is really easy to finish the job by adding the last coupe of fittings and the bags. I think I paid around $250 for the two new fligh high bags and their fittings. It seems like the dealer wanted 800 just for the bags and they were only 275 lbs a piece instead of the 400 lbs a piece I added.

go to wakeside and they will have everything you need.

by the way i would not recommend going with the pro x bags. they are 750lbs each and way to big for that comparment.

just go with the vdrive sac $200. that will give you 400 lbs on each side.

My ballast costs a lot more than that. They require iPods, clothes from Hollister, and cell phones. Paying for my kid's makes my boat spending look look like chump change.

    Joe, sorry man.

I thought you were referring to the 750's. That is what I upgraded to and they barley fit in my ssv22.
