Moomba Max, water fountain behind swim plate! Any suggestions?
See Video : https://youtu.be/yNpTouS6R1s
loaded at approx. 5000lbs ballast (100% surf side, 90% offside, 60% bow)
wake plate = 0
surfside plate = 70% (happens between 55-85 though)
speed 11mph
Any suggestions?------------------------------------

Reminds me of one of those Yamaha wave runners.
Nice video.

Did you get that happening with the stock ballast or when you loaded it up with more weight?
You could have the platform mounted closer to the boat.
Or put something on the bottom of the platform to prevent the water from being forced up.
I would leave it, but it’s not my boat.

Yeah she is 8 and this year started ropeless + starting unassisted like an adult. She loves it!
I haven't tried with just the stock ballasts, but can't imagine running the Max without it!
I'd mount it closer, but those sharp wakeplates would be close to sticking out further than the swim platform (a little risky for kids)

Have the same ballast as you (also agree, 4500-5000 is the max magic number and can’t imagine without). Should be going out tomorrow and will take a look at the platform and see if I have the same thing going on as well as my gap. Do you have FAE?

I've got a bit of the fountain going too (Craz with 44-4500 lbs ballast). I assumed it was engine exhaust water doing something weird around the flapper since it's biased to that side (on mine).
I've seen it a little worse than this picture shows, but doesn't really concern me.

If the wake plate is slightly adjusted down, I would assume less would be pressure being forced under the platform.
