Gas tank issue I think?

Hey guy,

So I finally got my boat out on the water and it ran great all the way up until we were headed back in. All of sudden motor shutdown and we had to towed in. After I got on the trailer I removed the back seats and notice the gas tank was caving in. I release the gas cap and a ton of air came out popping the tank back out. I also think I blew a gas line. Anyone had this issue?

Year model of your boat in your text or signature helps a lot.

Sounds like the Vent line to your tank is crushed or clogged.

Does the boat start now? Basically it sounds like the vent clogged, creating a vacuum in the tank, once the vacuum became equal to what the pump can pull it shut off thinking the tank was empty.

Sry i usually put it on there. 98 moomba outback. with the indmar carb motor
