Idle issue

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has experienced this idle issue I have going on? 98 moomba outback indmar 350 carb. I can put the throttle down in neutruel (chock)and the boat will run. As I soon as I put it back in the up position (neutruel) and move it to gear the motor dies? Holly carb on the motor

How long have you had this issue?

Did this start last year or earlier in the year with other symptoms such as bogging when under load from the carb?

Is it dying as soon as you put it in Gear? Forward or Reverse?

Have you checked the Trans to make sure its not locked up and stalling the engine?

When you move the throttle back to idle from fast neutral, does the motor idle fine all day long , or does it die as well?

Sounds like he meant (choke) and i think he is saying it will only idle with throttle input, like a cold start, but not without.

Sounds like a dirty carb that needs to be fully cleaned and possibly rebuilt. Idle circuit is probably gummed up to hell.
