Black hull scratches
I have fine scratches in my black gel coat on our 2008 lsv. I want to
Get rid of them and am wondering what others have used as a buffing compound. Tried #49 fibreglass restore. It helped but would like something better.

The top pic looks pretty deep, that's probably not gonna buff out. Try rubbing compound and then a polish for the smaller ones.

Rubbing compound will help -- it will make the scratches shiny like the rest of the gel coat. But, if you want to get rid of the scratches you will have to wet sand and then rub out. Google "wet sand gel coat".
My Mom said I'm not allowed to get wet!
