just like the title says..Anyone using "lead"?
If so , where do you put it. Where did you get it ? How much weight did you add ?

Lead Wake is one option. See below. I like the lead bags as they are easy to move and take up less area than additional bags. Needless to say, you don’t have to screw around with filling extra bags also.

You can add as much as you feel necessary, but I would say a min. of 250lbs so it would be like offsetting a person to one side. If you have and use Autowake add the weight closest you to the bag that stays 100% full.

I just re-read what I wrote. It sounds like I was drinking at the time. What I meant to say was I prefer the lead wake bags over extra water ballast bags. I.E. placing extra fat sacs on the floor or seat. The lead bags take up less room and are very easy to move around in 50lb increments.

Night and day difference with lead wake. I added 250lbs last week and I’m going to add another 300 or so wish I did it when I bought the boat. I got my lead wake from my dealer little cheaper then I could find online

Where does everybody “store” their lead weight when you’re not surfing or boarding. We do a little bit of everything, surfing, wake boarding, skiing, tubing, kneeboarding, etc. I am not sure where I would want an extra 500 lbs when I’m getting ready to pull tubes or worse a slalom skier. It would sure b welcome when it comes to surfing so I have contemplated buying some but again, I’m not sure where I would “store” it when not “using” it.

I leave my lead in the boat all the time. I have 100lbs in the bow, 100 lbs port midship, and 200 lbs starboard midship. I’ve stuffed the bags into crevices and nooks that don’t or wouldn’t work for storage.

All mine is on left side under the seats since everyone surfs that side another buddy has 200 pounds under each rear bag. And then has another 300 to move around the boat
