I've heard both of those, but mosquito seems so much more accurate. They buzz around you and are generally annoying. (although I guess waverunners don't bite you? So maybe they're more like pesky flies?) Lice aren't even really visible but itch. That doesn't seem like a good analogy. Roaches scatter when the lights turn on and never seem to die. Not sure that really fits.

All I know is that waverunners follow my wake around and buzz all around me.

just ended a non-vacation run where I've been on the water 7 out of 9 days.

Of course the wife got lots of surfing in.

We had a bright moon and a 360 degree sunset with colors in the East.

Jumped on a friend's boat on Wednesday and we were out until dark. It's always cool cruising PDX at night. (and really exciting when you're doing 38mph through downtown with it still 80 degrees out).

Here's our cool looking bridge that is only walk/bike/train. No cars. So Portland.

Went out to the Sandbar on the Columbia River Saturday for a friend's birthday. They have a 26' cabin cruiser and brought out gear for a DJ setup on the beach. I let them use my generator and they had the full mixing board, turntables, and big concert speakers.

I linked up with them so they were broadcasting to my boat via the Wetsounds wireless link. We definitely exceeded the 100 foot range (more like 50 yards) and the look on people's face when they realized that my system and the DJ on the beach were playing the same music was priceless.

Because of the distance involved and the speed that sound travels, there was a sweet spot halfway between the DJ and my boat where the music was perfectly in sync and you were surrounded by tunes.

And if you look closely at 0:08 seconds and again at 0:29 seconds, you can see my friend's boat with their floating swan and beer pong tables setup in the water. LOL. Actually it's the cover image for the youtube video too!

Lots of board storage on the XLV! And still have spots for 5 more!
