    Default Wakeplate

Trying to figure out wakeplate positions and when to use them. I pretty much keep it in the middle position. When would you have it up or down?

    Hi Tery,

Start with the wake plate in the down position to help bring the boat on plane quickly. If you are cruising at higher speeds, lift the wake plate slightly to bring the nose of your boat out of the water. Keep raising it until your boat starts porpoising, then lower the wake plate slightly until it stops porpoising. Cruise away.....

If you are wake boarding or surfing, start with the plate all the way down, then once you have hit your speed, raise the plate all of the way up to allow the stern to sit as low in the water as possible for a maximum wave. Again, if at wake boarding speeds the boat starts to porpoise, tap the plate down until it stops.

This advice is for a wake plate only, not surf tabs. Surf tabs are a whole new ballgame.
