Default 2004 Moomba Outback LS (Fuel Pump)

I currently own a 2004 Moomba Outback LS with an Indmar 5.7. The fuel pump is blowing fuses and shows a hard short. I found the OEM part# S556184 for the fuel pump, but no boat dealer has it in stock and the local parts stores cannot cross reference it to another number. Can I purchase this from a local parts store and what part number should be used?

My new fuel pump arrived today and I installed it on my boat. I have not taken the boat out, but after the boat idled for 10 minutes the fuse is too hot to hold. I checked the amps and it appears to be pulling around 10.8 to 11.2. Is it normal for the fuse to be this hot? If not, what else should I consider?
