Question Shudder and speed decrease while cruising

I was out cruising this afternoon and while doing about 25 mph we felt a pretty good shudder and the speed decreased. I put it in neutral and checked the engine compartment and v drive but there were no evident issues. Gauges were all good, temp, oil pressure.
I don't think we hit anything. Depthsounder still said 43 ft.
We carried on our way and it did not happen again.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the responses.
We took it out the next day and had no issues.
I will have a look at the prop and drive shaft this weekend.
