    Default Wake Help

    Hi,
Just up-graded from a 89 Sea Ray Bow Rider I/O to a 2004 Mobius LSV. Love the boat but the wake is ticking me off. What am I doing wrong?

Have the factory ski locker back filling it about 300 lbs-400 lbs then have locker sacks that I fill up each at about 250. Riding at about 19 mph with 65 ft of rope. Any faster and wake gets small. Slower gets washy. Wake plate is half up. Frustrated because my I/O had about the same wake.

Also thinking of upgrading the ballast to the Gravity III system has anyone done this them selves or paid to have it done. How much did it cost?

    Thanks for the advice.

Empty all that stuff and fill just the center floor sack about 3/4.

Work the speed & plate and then think about what you need.

On my 05 everyone rides b/t 17 and 18.5 mph. Some try 20 but that last 2 mph really adds to the pounding on a crash.

Most ride with the sack 1/4 to 1/2 full.

I have the same boat. I am using 2 550# sacks in the rear and 2 400# sacks in the front 1 in the ski locker 1 on top. Wake plate about 1/2 way and 70' rope. This works well. I adjust how much I fill the rear bags based on how many people are in the boat.

I know this guy, he has a friend that mounted a snow plow on the front of his boat.

    The wake is incredible.
