2016 Mondo Tower Speaker Help
I have a 2016 Mondo which I'm just wanting to add a couple of tower speakers and amp to our boat. I don't want to have a ton of speakers as I like the height of standing in the boat without the speakers but we think we would really like having some speakers sometimes. Any help would be much appreciated in trying to find the best speakers or setup for the price.

Id do this......
https://www.kicker.com/kmtc-8-inch-c...r-system-white
& pair it with this....

If you do not have any bass then that’s a different story. If you already have the stock kicker sub & “if” they have you a kxm800.5 amp then I would just bridge that amp just for your tower speakers & your sub (I would also put that sub in a box). Then I would get the kxm400.2 to power your 4 in cabin speakers. If you have bow speakers as well then you will need another kxm400.2. That amp will power 2 pairs of speakers so you could add another pair of 6” speakers somewhere (I put mine in my walkway).
Hope this helps!!!! I’m a big fan of Kicker. Great sound & great price compared to everything else marine grade.

Big fan of Exile! Can never go wrong with other top brands. But Exile gives an excellent value for the dollar especially since you can take the speakers off so easily between uses.

Based on the desire, id say a pair of 8" pods would be the way to go. This is a happy medium between loss of hear room and sound quality. Now the question is, are you looking for primarily wake range projection or surf/party cove type listening? This gets you down the HLCD or traditional coaxial paths.
Next, need to take into account the tower type and where the speakers will mount. Some towers and locations are off-axis and will require a clamp that swivels. This can automatically eliminate some options. Also, is there a factory mounting boss? This can also narrow down the options in order to mate a bolt pattern or require the need for adapters.
