    Default Unused sensor on Raptor

While doing the maintenance on the Raptor I noticed a sensor that has no electrical plug so I assume that it is unused. What bothers me is that it looks like it should have had the “hose” side of the sensor capped since it is in the intake. Hopefully Engine Nut will chime in and give an explanation as to what this unused sensor is.

That is a connector for an evaporative emission purge valve that comes on the engine but we do not use. Nothing should be plugged in there.

So should the hose port on the sensor be blocked off or does it no actually go into the intake.

In a car/truck the purge valve is normally closed, unless requested by the ecm to open under certain operating conditions. If it is not hooked up then the valve would be closed and no air would be going through it.

I wonder if some states require a closed fuel system and Moomba would use the purge valve?
