Did you buy a surf platform or make one? I want to upgrade my platform as well on my 07 Lsv. Is there a noticeable difference with the new platform?

I upgraded to the new “surf platform”. Made a big difference in the surf wave.

I snapped this pic of my 12 year old this last weekend. Ballast is set at about 50% as he’s just learning.

From the surfers view, the platform does not touch the water at all while surfing.

Did you just use the stock 2008 brackets? I have surf platform I just haven't installed it yet because I was worried the screw holes wouldn't be the same.

Yes. There were no screw holes in the new surf platform. Slipped existing supports into existing brackets, laid new platform on supports and centered, marked hole pattern from supports to new platform, drilled new pilot holes, squirted a bunch of 3M 5200 on top of support, set platform back on supports and lined up the pilot holes, squirted 3M 5200 (black) onto each Stainless Screw and screwed them in.

Holds 2 200lb gents without any problem.

I ordered it from a local shop; Alpine Haus Marina. Platform was $612.55 and pad was 249.60.
