    Default Oil Change

I changed the oil in my boat when I winterized in November. No that it is time to use the boat again do I need to change the oil after it has sat all winter? I used Merc Synthetic oil and would like to not change it if I don't have to.

    Thanks,

No, you’ll be fine. Most people change the oil when they winterize and then run that oil in the summer.

no, better to have clean fresh oil sitting in the engine all winter than old dirty oil. Just make sure you check the oil level the first time out.
