    Default Prop change

What is the easiest way to change the prop without a puller? What size nut the is on the prop shaft?

Do you want keep the prop coming off or make it a paper weight? There is no easy way without some form of a puller or proper prop removal tool.

I don't see why you couldn't do it with a cheap gear puller. They can be had for less than $20. Or head to autozone, pay a deposit and they'll loan you one!

when I changed mine a few years back I did it without a puller. If I remember correctly I just removed the nut and then gave the prop a few light tamps around the hub (where it goes over the shaft) with a mallet and piece of wood. I just tapped it and it loosened up on it's own. I'm sure that may not be what most experience but give it a try.

It's really 50/50 whether it will come off without a puller. It's a decent investment and nice to have.

I have had success using a harmonic prop puller.

Thanks. Stuff I had laying around. It's always handy to have a bucket or 2 of scrap steel bits.
