Engine whining noise on Craz

My 2018 Craz has a rather loud whining sound from about 2800 to 3400 rpm's. It's equipped with the surf pipe, so otherwise its very quiet. Sounds like a gears whining more than an engine noise. Is this normal? It's rather annoying high pitched sound.

Please don't tell me to turn up my stereo!!!!

Yeah it’s the trans, and that’s probably the speed right around the resonant frequency of the gearset. I’m going to put my FAE on this spring so I will soon find out if I get the same result. I do remember some whine, but nothing to make me worried.

Yup, I also hear whining at around those RPM's.

Same here. I even took mine back to dealership. It was my first inboard, so I wasn't used to it. Once I used it several times, I don't pay any attention to it.

I have the wine on my 2018 Sa 400 I am going to reprop mine to the high altitude prop soo and see if it changes..
