OK, lot of sub talk going back and forth last week and I wanna keep it rolling, albeit in a slightly different direction.

2017 bonuses have landed and the Mrs. is letting me keep half of it, LOL!

If you had a comfortable budget (Champagne, not Natty Light)...what would be your ideal Sub/Amp combo?

This would be for a custom ported enclosure, open to consideration of multiple or single subs.

Looking for something that will knock your fillings loose.

....and go!

Do 4 Kicker 10” L7’s & FTW!!!!! Power it with kickers KX2400.1 or get (2) KXM1200.1 if you want a marine amp.

My 4 KM10s pound my sack under the dash. I could only imagine what 4 L7s would do

OK so I admit I get a little lost on impendance when it's a dual voice coil.

the KX2400.1 is 1200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (2400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)....the L7's come in dual 4-ohm and dual 2-ohm.

Would (4) L7's in dual 4-ohm (wired in parallel?) present a 2-ohm load to the KX2400.1?

I'm OCD too so I get it...but I've already mixmatched. Factory Kicker in-boats, Fusion HU, WS Rev10s, etc.

Hypothetically, if your Mojo wasn't already all WS, would you still go SD2 & XXX12? I think it'd be a solid combo and it's on my list of contenders, just curious to your thoughts.

Multiples is where I lose a little perspective, would 2 W6s or 2L7s outperform a W7?

If you want to pound and make it easy to install, The Exile Big 12 with their 20.1 or 15.1 amp. My buddy had one in a ported box on his 'Bu, probably the best I have ever heard on a wake boat. Nothing against WetSounds, but my buddy is running the new xxx12, I felt it left a lot to be desired. He is running the proper watts and had a custom built box made by a legit stereo shop. I personally run the Exile 12d off of the javelin amp in a 1.7' rhino lined ported box. I get "that" look from the wife all the time to turn the bass down. This spring, I'll be climbing under the dash to tighten everything up as it has created a few rattles.
