Can never go wrong with WetSounds, but like others on here, Exile performs well at a cost savings. Both WetSounds and Exile have deals pages for items at a discounted cost. There is also a Facebook page dedicated to wake boat gear, try to locate that as stereo equipment comes up for sale on there as well. Best of luck! Whatever you get, a proper install and tune is a must.

The extent of my knowledge is “wetsounds - good”. Unfortunately it’s also more than I’m wanting to spend at this point.
Dont discount an entire brand, prior to completing the design phase. Wet Sounds offers 3 series of complete from the ground up marine amps. They offer 2 series of, again, built from the ground up marine in-boat speakers. For wake boarding you will come out better going with a HLCD over a coaxial. HLCDs come in 6.5", 8" (includes the hollow-point and knock-off krypts), and 10". Leaving out the soon to be released 9" and 11" HLCD from Kicker, until I know a firm availability date. I typically suggest an 8" or 10, given today's offerings, but for a budget friendly setup, the Kicker KMTS-67 is hard to beat. Best sounding 6.5" HLCD, handles a ton of power for its size class and well built. But again, its still a 6.5" so we have to keep it in perspective.

I have a pair of wetsounds rev8 with the HLCD and icon8 with coaxial for sale in the classifieds section. Also have rockfords with HLCD for a bit less. All are new, still pricey, but I'm asking the same price as the refurbished ones on ebay.

I found a set of XM9’s locally. It seems to me like they’re priced a bit high, but I’m still getting over the sticker shock of this stuff. What would you expect to pay for a used set of XM9’s?

OP if you're interested, i'm upgrading my whole system and have 4 roswell tower speakers 6- kicker interior 6.5's, the stock subwoofer, a fusion head unit and two amps kicker 800.5 and 200.2 available that i have no use for. I can cut you a very good deal. Let me know.

I have the kicker HLCDs and they scream. I also got a new set from Walmart over the winter and they were discounted down to 120.

For budget amps look at PPI phantom series. They are class D so they are incredibly small and very efficient, ie don't draw crazy amounts of power.

If your located close to TN I have a JL marine 6 channel I'll let go cheap. I upgraded my Amp situation last year.

Any info on these new HLCDs from kicker? Can't find anything on there website.
