The carpet gets hot too. I have the carpet and if it sits in the sun it will get to where I can’t walk on it.

I know everyone digs the non skid but there is absolutely a difference in heat. Keeping a cup for water like Langston mentioned seems to be an easy enough fix, though.

I'm probably the odd man out with carpet and no real desire to switch.

The grey non-skid flooring in my Supra does not get hot enough to need a cup of water...not sure if Supra uses Gatorstep or Sea Deck, but we dont need a cup of water in the boat.

This might be the season I find a thermo temp gauge and actually test these materials in direct sun. Some say it don't get hot and others say yes, my results are everything has gotten hot for us and you find a way around it.

I bet the water (in and out of the boat) makes a difference.

They day I recall it being WAY hot was a day we hadn't gotten in/out of the boat.

I have carpet and prefer it. We have small kids and we got in a boat he dealer before we ordered ours and it was hard on the legs and feet if they were playing on he floor. If it didn’t have groves cut in it and was completely flat it may be different.

This does not compute. Never had such a day since day 1 of break-in.
