Default 2014 Mondo owners, help needed

I have a 2014 Mondo and I'm trying to install a Nautic Laugic GPS unit. Where the paddlewheel connector is supposed to be, my wires appear to be spliced.

Anyone with a 2014 Mondo, is this how yours are, or do you have a connector? If they're all like this, then I must be looking in the wrong place for the connector.

Naw, they just shrink wrapped the connector, if it gets water logged the speedo goes crazy. You probably want the other end so you can mount the GPS Puck near the dash?

That is not a shrink wrapped connector. It's too small. It should be roughly the size of the gray one shown there.

Here are the male and female connectors of the GPS unit.

It looks like the cable was cut and butt spliced back together.

That's what I'm thinking, but I want to make sure before I cut it out and put in connectors.

I installed this on my 14 Mondo. The only thing the paddle wheel is used for is water temp. It is the brown and white wire. 6088EBCC-7711-4FC5-AF91-0E6030D9DEE5.jpg0C22AAF3-B938-4560-8762-4F2A74C5B33C.jpg
