there are a lot of guys who know stereo systems/set ups a lot better than me but i would not want any of my amps or stereo equipment on the floor of the boat. Everything i have seen is always mounted on the side just in case you take water over the bow and get water in the boat.

They are not on the floor, they are suspended on a board!

oh, didn't notice they were above the floor. That is definitely better than on the floor. What I have seen is most put them on the side of the boat and then that also frees up more space on the floor for storage.

I don't pic of my 02 lsv, used a cutting board and mounted using the bow back bolts, only had 1 amp. HTMS.

This was my '10 LSV, setup. Made a riser so I could shove the batteries further forward for more room.

last amp rack in the last boat. stereo battery is in a box against the wall in the corner of the pic. other 2 batteries are in a compartment in the rear of the boat in the factory location.
I am with the others in that I would not ever mount amps flat even above the floor. too much temptation to toss a wet towel or lifejacket in there. would also recommend that batteries are put in battery boxes. keeps something metal from arcing across the terminals and cleans up the storage space.
    all just my .02...
