Default Any advice on ballast hose

I have a reversible ballad system I just finished installing. One issue is we ran short on hosing and one pumps hose has a link in it. I have 1 extra piece about 2 feet long. Is there something I can use to connect these 2 pieces Togethor with parts I can get from home depot or lowes? Or is there 1" hose I can buy from home depot that I can substitute the wakemakers hose with.

I was originally thinking a 3" lengthof brass pipe that I can slip the two pieces over and then clamp to it.

Wakmakers makes a connector if you want to wait for shipping.

Go to the auto parts store (NAPA, oreilly etc) and get some rubber 1" heater hose. Probly way cheaper than a Home Depot and you can buy it by the foot!

Home Depot or a plumbing store might have a plastic connector. It's worth a try

Do y'all not think a shirt length of brass pipe would work?

I would not use any other hose other then a coil reinforced hose, which I hope is what was supplied originally. Odd that it kinked, takes some significant force to get that hose to collapse or kink. Should be able to find a plastic 1" barbed hose splice at most any hardware store to cut out the kink and splice the hose back. This will not effect the flow rate.
