Surfing with a SUP
I have two stand up paddle boards:
A bote hd12 and an off brand cheaper foam surf style paddle board. Both boards have large deep fins.
Anyone have experience surfing on a sup behind a boat. It's amazing how much push they get from the wave but insane how hard is it to stay on the wave without falling. I believe it's because they are s9 hard to steer.
Anyone have advice on surfing with a SUP? I was debating on pulling out the fin to see if that helps.

You actually want to add the extra small side find that are on some board meant for ocean usage. Helps the board track better and less prone to washing out from under you.

Not all of them do. Mine do and I took them out for regular paddling as it makes it harder to maneuver
