Cleaning black rub rail trim
Does anyone have advice for getting the white haze off the black trim of the stainless rub rail? I’m not sure if it’s from wax, sunscreen, scuff etc. I tried wd40, bug and tar remover, wheel cleaner and automotive plastic trim restorer to no avail. See pic below, thanks!

Acetone does the job. Just keep it off the gel. I soak a rag and rub it thoroughly.

Thanks fellas, I’ll try acetone first since none of the local auto parts stores have mothers back to black cleaner
