Default Sold the new SE for a smaller boat

So we sold the SE to have a new SL built in December. Same colors of course as I have had on my boats for 12 years, It's rough downsizing. All for a In floor cooler!!
Went with the 550 this time to see if there is a difference as we weight our boat well for the biggest wave possible with very few people. Prolly gonna add sacs to the rear instead of lead this time, if it's not ridiculous to do.

You will enjoy the SL and the 550. Can't say it's going to seem that much smaller, the SL is really well laid out and the sub floor ballast is MONEY. Can't wait to see it.

I doubt the 1' difference is going to be noticed much as the boat is so much deeper and might have more boat in the water based off the hull design. I love the SL but I can see a child closing floor over the cooler on someones toe. The kids did that in the old XLV but they were only 6 and 8 then and older now.

Interesting. We were almost positive the SL would be for us, even had the builder done and ready. We spent some time in one and came home and built an SE....

It is a fantastic boat, make no mistake about it, but the SE is still the boat for us.
