What options can i add later?
Hi,
Just wondering witch option i MUST take when ordering an new boat. I assume there are options that have to be added in the factory because its to difficult to buy later.
I have an list of options that i might want to buy later. Can you tell me if it can be done?
Walk thru screen
Biminitop
Wakeboard racks
Tonneau cover
Tower mirror

Easy/better to get later:
Biminitop
Wakeboard racks
Tower mirror
Harder/better to get later from dealer:
Walk thru screen
Tonneau cover
My $0.02,
Joe

What the problem with the tonneau cover? Is it not just buy and click on?

Most of the options you can order can also be installed later by an authorized dealer, however they will probably cost you more. Anything from the wake plate to perfect pass to tower speakers. I had several options like that added to mine because I bought the boat off the showroom floor but had to add a few options that came with the boat show deals.

All of those options you could add later but I agree with Joe that the walk thru screen and tonneau cover are harder to add.
If you don't mind drilling the snaps into the gelcoat and fiberglass then its no big deal. I installed my first tonneau cover just the other day. It took about 3 hours but it turned out just like the factory install. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I taped the cover in place every 3-4 inches around the deck. From there, I installed the very front snap and then the middle snap on the windshield. After that I alternated sides from the front, working back to the windshield. You just have to remember to drill in reverse and countersink your holes. Oh, and make sure you don't drill too big of a hole for the screw to go in to.
