Squeezing the last out of summer before donning the drysuit. The 63 degree air temp wasn't improved by the lack of sunshine and 10 mph wind, but at least the water was warmer.
Here we took a first time surfer out... He was up on the first try and moved up to the Gnarwhal on just his third ride.

Spotted a max getting the prop upgraded and some new bumpers on rub rail installed today.

I just read about the fires up in Oregon and Washington. We had it pretty bad the week of the Labor Day weekend. Extremely hot (115) with smoke in the air. I will now quit bitchen after reading some of these posts and seeing some of those pics! Originally Posted by bergermaister

Dodging 6ft swells the best I could but still taking waves clear up over the windshield. Took on enough water that we had cushions floating and were using the handheld tsunami 1200 as an emergency bilge. Stereo is fried or at least partially - I think all 3 exile amps took a swim. I haven't done much looking into it yet honestly - haven't had the stomach for it yet. Biggest scare I've had on the water in 10+ years - I think 2 more over the bow would have been the end of the MobiusV.
The fires have been a big distraction. Earlier this week we had some relatives who live in the area evacuated at 3am and showed up on our doorstep with a few keepsakes and their pets. This is what it looked like on their road the night they left.

Season ending bargain demo board, Lakewakes WiFi 56". Super fun board, great speed. Glad I bought it! Won't oust my Soulcraft Jimmi8, but will def shred it on occasion! Carries my 225# with EASE on a slammin' SE450 wave.
