If it doesn't sell before I pull it, my dealer does Moomba and FourWinns- maybe trade it on a smaller Four Winns that we can still do everything but surf behind. The Moomba V8 isn't the quietest thing to do the "coffee cruise" around the lake in... lol

In NY you don't pay sales tax on the trade difference. So, even if the trade was $35k- by the time you add the $3000 I would have paid in sales tax, it would be the same as selling it outright at $38,000... and the dealer does all the paperwork.
My family has been dealing with Canada Lake Marine for nearly 40 years and they are good, fair people.

No, I think I said it wrong. If I trade at a dealer, i would only pay sales tax on the difference between my trade and the new boat. If I sell my boat private party, I have to pay sales tax on the entire amount of the new boat. Does that make more sense?
