Economy of scale. If they do it at the factory, they can have all the right parts designed and ready to go and install effort for them would be trivial. It's not hard to install an FAE but it's a little "fiddly", measuring, cutting, etc. If I had an option to pay $500 installed, or $500 for DIY, it would be an easy choice. Not to mention the overall improvement in product quality for SC if every boat they made ran quiet and non-stinky.

Yes I get that. I was suggesting those seeking a factory option to retrofit a boat just grab one.

Or, order one (if Skiers doesn't offer one) and have your dealer install before delivery.

Is Skiers offers it as a $500 option it would be impressive.

Gotcha guess it is just turn down exhaust , but I really thought the catalyzed engines took most of the CM out of the exhaust

I installed FAE on my 14 best option on the boat made a huge difference when riding in the observer seats in the back and the engine noise is way down when surfing. I absolutely agree this should be an option offered I don't know why someone wouldn't order it if it was available.

I've never had an issue with CM with the excat engine.

Never smelt it on the boat but if you hang out in the rear facing seats I would notice it, truthfully the biggest advantage is how much better you can hear the music now
