We've actually talked about it. it's got dual engines and trim tabs on each side... He just doesn't want to have to stop for fallen riders, so he'd want a chase boat (waverunner?)

I wanna try it, but we gotta play with it and I'm only out on his boat a few times a summer.

we tried surfing a buddy's dads boat in wisconsin a few years ago. its a 45ft twin diesel engine yacht with twin tabs and found that the second curl back offered the best potential to surf but it took 2 wakeboard ropes tied together to get back there. hard to get up and took quite a few minutes for that barge to turn around and pick up a downed rider but was fun to try. I can't even imagine the gas he burned for that few hours of enjoyment...
his swimdeck was hydraulic and had the spot to store a "wavehumper" as he called it but he didn't have it on that day. probably would have saved a ton of gas in turns

Son just turned 6 on Sat.
Took some coaxing from us to get him to ride with us, but once he did he was all smiles.
Has been riding double with me or wife since he was 4. (15-18 mph).

I was super proud when everyone on shore or on boats was yelling and honking to him as they have seen him ride before...

Saturday was 3 wide.

Tuesday, another newbie up on the surf board. No pics (gasp, but haven't gotten anything off the gopro), but a fun night.

I could handle it being longer, but it's still quite a fun wave to play on...


Getting that sunset set.


It finally smoothed out. But can't complain too much. We were the ONLY boat that was playing. A few runabouts cruising around, but we're getting to that time of year when we have the river to ourselves...
