    Default Distance between thru hulls?

I have been working on upgrading my ballast system and need to add another thru hull (making a total of 3).

Being that my old boat isn't very deep or big, there is not a perfect spot jumping out at me to add this last thru hull that isn't close to others.

What is an appropriate distance to keep from other holes in the bottom of the boat?

    Thanks!

Need at least a couple of inches. Figure out your hardware including the thru-hull, a shut off valve, etc. If you are using aerator pumps you will need a lot more room than if you are just connecting a line that goes to a reversible pump mounted higher up. The Rule 2000 aerator has to screw on and has a port sticking out of the side of it. It can be very difficult to screw onto a shut off valve in a confined space.

Cool, if that's all the space needed between then I'm good to go. Thanks!

I would worry more about proper clearance needed to assemble the pumps and ball valves, which enough room to rotate the valve off is needed, then distance between the shrooms.
