I'm with Chester on this one ... There's something very special about these Wisconsin lakes on summer mornings that seem especially chill . Here's a shot from our neck of the North Woods this weekend:

4th of July is always crazy on the water. Launched at 2.30pm and a couple of the guys were crazy enough to want to wakeboard. It was pretty choppy with the breeze and lots of boat traffic

I got in a surf, but it was all I could do to stay on with the crazy rollers in some spots. Still fun though.

THen we got to downtown PDX and anchored up at the Waterfront blues festival. Struggled a little with teh box anchor in a muddy bottom, but FINALLY got it to hold fast the 3rd attempt. Had our stern tied up to a couple yachts. Front row seats for the fireworks.

    Me and the girls.

Snuggled in with the big boats...

Fireworks launched from a barge on the other side of the river. Pretty much as good as it gets!

And my wife in the visor obviously COMPLETELY focused on boat driving while I'm surfing through rollers with crazy boat traffic. LOL

And always fun to party it up on the surfboard.
